English - I made these shots of my Grandma aka "mormor" during the summer 2015, when she came to visit us on the countryside in what started to become our atelier. I remember she was sewing the name tags into our sweaters, as we were getting ready for our first knitting festival. Honestly she remembers things just like the blue fish in The world of Nemo, the far-away events that have been part of building her life are intact, but nothing from the short-term remains. That summer, I asked her once which of our sweaters she preferred, and she replied "Oh but they are all so marvelous! (pause) But I actually really like this one." The day after, or maybe two days later, I asked her again, wanting to see if with that sickness, you are still able to have your favorite things, a particular attachment, or if everything is just blurry. So I asked her again which of our sweaters she preferred, and she replied "Oh but they are all so marvelous! (pause) but I really like this one." I was surprised and moved by her second answer, and decided to take that moment into photography. She chose the no. 21 both times.
Happy 86th birthday to my grandma, she is a brave pal.
