we are so happy to be part of pompom magazine issue 23 !

astrid wrote "with a dark color on the pullover, you can hide in the night, but be sure to be found with the soft color touches that shine like small lights."
we love the name "selenite" that the pompom team gave to the design, the idea of something from the moon, blends poetically with the feeling astrid created it with.

thank you to the pompom team !

it has a simple shape with stripes on the body, a split hem and colorwork at the cuffs and collar that can be adapted to your own preferred color choices. it is worked bottom-up, in the round, and features a raglan yoke.

the yarn is biches & bûches le petit lambswool in very dark grey as the main color worked together with a thread of alpaca 1 from isager, and the colorwork is in biches & bûches le petit lambswool worked alone.

The pattern is in the PomPom magazine issue 23 !

the color combinations :
01_ le petit lambswool very dark grey + dark grey + light grey + light pink + off white + isager alpaca 1 black (the original version)
02_ custom colors : you can choose any 5 colors of our "le petit lambswool" + one of isager "alpaca 1", close color to le petit lambswool you choose as the main color. you can discover all of the shades on the wool product page and just fill out the form underneath ! we have made a small selection of a) dark blue black - b) dark violet blue - c) medium grey - d) dark red.

the wool : it is the biches & bûches "le petit lambswool", a natural and 100% lambswool from scotland. the other one is from the danish brand isager, in a  "alpaca 1", pure alpaca, beautiful quality that, blended with lamsbwool, creates that really warm and soft touch. for the knitting needles, astrid has used : 3mm / US 2.5 / UK 11 double pointed needles for the currugated rib +  4,5mm / US 7 / UK 7 circular needles for the body and sleeves - which you can find in our tool shop !

kit sizes : each size has its kit !
pattern sizes :  1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 (measurements below) (all sizes are detailed in the pattern !)

the knitting kit: your kit contains the wool in the chosen colors and for the chosen model size without the pattern, which is in pompom magazine issue 23 + + the little biches & bûches knitting pouch

skill level : 2 out of 5
techniques : knit stitch + purl stitch + corrugated rib for the cuffs + the collar + grafting (everything is of course explained in the pattern !)
construction : the sweater is knit in the round, in stocking / stockinette stitch, bottom up, and there are a few stitches of grafting to do under the arms. the sweater is knit holding 2 threads together !

dimensions of the finished sweater :
1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) - to be worn with up to 10 cm / 4" positive ease
bust circumference : 88 (94, 104, 114, 124, 134) cm / 34.5 (37, 41, 45, 48.5, 52.5)"
full length : 61 (61, 61, 63, 63, 63) cm / 23.5 (23.5, 24, 24.5, 24.5, 24.5)"
underarm sleeve length : 42 (43, 44, 45, 45, 45) cm / 16.5 (16.9, 17.3, 17.7, 17.7, 17.7)"

how to determine your size : you can take your favorite knitted sweater, worked in a yarn similar to the one you are considering, and measure its dimensions. it may not have the exact same shape, but it will give you an idea of the size to choose ! a sweater in thin wool is often designed a little loose, so it is best to choose a slightly larger than smaller size, and the biches & bûches designs are actually not intended to be worn tight <3
